Hi all,

I am using SDL Studio 2009 and I need to convert TM file from .mdb format to .sdltm. When I tried to upgrade the .mdb file, it tells me to install SDLX before upgrade. Then I downloaded a demo SDLX (I have tried this before and i was able to convert .mdb to .sdltm in Window XP). However this time in Windows 7, it says error code: - 2147467259

Does anyone have any idea what i can do?

You have the full version of SDL Trados 2007 and SDLX, so install that first...

I have no idea what's wrong, but what you could do is tell us whether you have 32 or 64 bit.

If the MDB file is large and you need it urgently, you can open it in MS Access or LibreOffice Base and find the table with the text in it. The source and target text are on alternate lines. Convert it to a plaintext tab-delimited file, and then convert that to TMX and import the TMX file. Converting a tab-delimited file to TMX isn't simple, though (and I have no idea which converters would work on Windows 7 either).

Alternatively, you may also use the SDLX TM provider .. Apr 15, 2011

.. which you can download from the SDL OpenExchange website (in your customer account, click on 'My Apps' and there on the link 'OpenExchange').

It allows you to open a SDLX TM directly in Studio.
