解説: 主に企業の決算対策時に発動されます。企業の資産の簿価と時価とを比べた時、市場価格（時価）が簿価を上回っていれば、含み益が認識されます。ただし、含み益というだけで利益に関しては未実現の状態にあります（企業の担保能力を考えると無視できない要素ではありますが）。それを決算期を迎えるにあたって、含み益の大きい資産を売却、つまり「益出し」によって利益を捻出する企業があります。これにより、業績が不振であっても、当期純利益を確保できる場合がみられます。また、単純に買った株が上昇して利が乗っている状態で、売りに回ることを指すこともあります。
