Сергей, у меня такое впечатление, что это сокращение не английское, а немецкое: Elektromotorische Kraft, то есть по-нашему - электродвижущая сила, ЭДС. Авторы Вашего документа не немцы ли, случайно? Из этой коротенькой фразы крайне трудно понять, о чем конкретно речь, но это явно измерение некоего параметра, так что это, конечно же, не название прибора или тем более предприятия. Если эта самая bath имеет отношение к гальванизации или каким-то электрохимическим процессам, то это вполне возможно. Или если речь идет о термопаре - тогда уж точно это ЭДС. Контекста бы побольше, чтобы понять, что к чему!

Explanation:
Речь идет о замерах температуры/ напряжения (ЭДС) с помощью термопар(ы). При подобных замерах измеряется температура на холодном спае (cold junction), которая преобразуется (с помощью линеаризующего уравнения или градуировочной таблицы) в напряжение, затем это напряжение добавляется к напряжению на выводах ТП (возникающее из-за разницы температур на спаях), и полученное результирующее напряжение преобразуется в температуру. Т.е. процесс идет температура -> напряжение -> температура.
