You will need to calculate the drop-off rate to determine if each team was within the required TAKT time. This is calculated by subtracting the Lead-Time from the Total Time, and dividing this result by 11. This is necessary since the first piece is a **pipeline fill**, and does not represent the true drop-off rate. The last 11 units, however, are representative.
Have the teams diagnose why the results are improved. Point out that it does no good to improve productivity if the customer demand rate (10 seconds) is not met.
