History
Spanish term or phrase: hacendario
as in:
"La intendencia (en el noreste de Mexico en el siglo 18) era un organismo hacendario, la máxima instancia fiscal de su jurisdicción, que en esencia abarcaba a las Provincias Internas de Oriente. "
Oxford Dictionary says "hacendar" is "to grant lands" while "Hacienda" in Mexico is the tax collection bureau. So it is either a land granting organization or a tax collecting one. RAE has no definition for this adjective.
