German term

verstürzt

German to English Marketing Textiles / Clothing / Fashion Menswear
This is referring to men's jackets and suits:
Verstürzte Taschenbeutel und ein breiterer Besetz sorgen für eine gepflegte Optik.

I found turned over at leo.org and the following descriptions of this sewing technique:ver|stür|zen [zu stürzen] (6 a) (Schneiderei): (zwei zusammenzunähende Stücke Stoff) mit der linken Seite nach außen aufeinander legen, zusammennähen u. anschließend auf die rechte Seite drehen;

Ver|stürz|naht, die (Schneiderei): Naht, die zwei miteinander verstürzte Stücke Stoff verbindet.

Can anyone confirm whether turned over would be correct, or should I use something else?

TIA!

Sarah

stitched and turned

verstürzen = stitch and turn
(i.e. work a seam most of the way round the item then turn the right way out).

It is evidently a special type of hem.
