I don't know much about knitting machines, but this is the translation provided by Ernst, and the dictionary actually specified "knitting looms" as the context for the translation, so it might be your lucky day...
P.S. It also gives "thread regulating wheel" if the "Fournisseur" is used for threads (duh, right?)

IMPORTANT: Since I theoretically "specialize" in this field, let me once again state that I don't know much about knitting machines, nor would I ever translate a document having to do anything with them (Mechanics / Mech Engineering is a VERY broad category, isn't it? ;-) )
P.S. It also gives "thread regulating wheel" if the "Fournisseur" is used for threads (duh, right?)
