Hola. I swear I'm not trying to be fussy here, I'd have gone for "perspective" like Green did, and that was it. However, I did a search for "conical perspective" related to design applications and what I actually found was that "conical projection" popped up several times, as opposed to "perspective" (just one by some imartinez@..., which I fear has been literally translated from Spanish into English). I think the difference lies on "perspective" being the perception the eye feels about depth/distance. Projection is the shape, form, whatever, chosen by the artist/nature (hit me now lads!). Well OK, I see now I'm really being fussy. Take it as just another option. Checking these links will help: Link 1: google findings. Link 2: a sample of those: "Geodyssey's Hipparchus C/C++ Component Function Libraries... a consequence of this design, the developer is ... functions in the application. ... h3_InitConical
Initialize conical projection...". Mmmm... Good luck and sorry for the length of this. Bye now :-)

As a one-time drafting teacher I can assure you "conical
projection" is correct. A conical perspective would imply an optical distortion by camera.

Perspective projections are called conic projections.
Axonometric parallel projection and conic perspective projection methods shown both in plan drawing and projected screen.
