The country name. It just appears after the name of a soccer player in a league. For instance:
Hege Riise (Carolina Courage - Norway).
In this case, 1) how is "Norway translated in French and 2) is an article like "le" necessary before the translation in this case?

it would be \"la Norvège\", but in this case, there is no article required. The same applies to your \"Brésil\" question.
