English term or phrase: argobrazed
A small vessel (manufactured of stainless steel) has a single long argobrazed crook handle. This vessel is used for collecting biosamples from deep laboratory containers, so the rod-shaped handle is thin and very very long to allow dipping of the small sampling "cup" attached to it. The crook is in the top of the handle and helps the worker to grip the handle easily. But what on earth does it mean that the handle is argobrazed...? Coated somehow? The metal processed in a certain way? Or...? Thank You in advance! :)

It is clear that argobrazed does not refer to silver (L. argentum) but to argon (Gk. idle, lazy), a colorless odorless inert gaseous element found in the air and in volcanic gases & used especially in welding, lasers and electric bulbs. Siis argon, eli eräs jalokaasuihin kuuluva alkuaine, on tässä kyseessä. Vastine voisi olla "argonilla juotettu" ja suluissa tuotemerkki (Argo-brazeTM). Kiitos, Marju!

agree  Timo Lehtilä: Yes, and 'argo' here refers to lat. 'argentum' (silver); in all of them the main component seems to be silver.
