Building underground
"Tutta la distribuzione, gli accessi, le scale e le *prese di luce* sarebbero stati ricavati
all’interno di un giardino “formale" .....
After initial shock (I was thinking of 'prese di luce' being sockets!), I realized these are presumably souces of (natural) light, such as pavement lights etc....
Is there a broad term I should use, such as '(natural) light sources, or is there some specific equivalent, e.g. pavement lights ?

Comment: "I eventually decided that 'daylighting' is the broadest concept and best suited for this 'hidden-in-the-garden' concept. But found daylighting thanks to your useful links, so points to you!"

Natural light wells/openings
I think "wells" is the most commonly used though "openings for natural light" is also used. Not necessarily "windows" but other openings or wells such as skylights/translucent panels etc.
