Spanish to English Art/Literary Folklore
A text about the influence of kitsch on Cuban culture and art:

El kitsch y la “cubanía salvaje” serían el mejor de los mundos temáticos posibles para emplazar los retruécanos de la construcción del socialismo y las expectativas de transformación en la sociedad cubana.

I am tending to translate the term simply as "wild Cuba," of course between quotes, but "Cuba-ness" or something like that also seems like an option. Thanks!

as you see from the link, if Englishness etc exists why not Cubanness? I would add "innate" to indicate it is the essence of being Cuban that is in question here
