Medical - Medical (general) / surgical procedure
French term or phrase: capitonnage
This is from a surgical report:
Capitonnage du Scarpa gauche pour lymphocèle.

I found "capitonnage" as the English translation in both of my medical dictionaires, but it doesn't get very many hits when I google it. I've found wadding, but the surgical report says "One procède ensuite au capitonnage de la cavité en trois plans avec des points en X de Vicryl 1.0", which doesn't seem to be "wadding" to me. Does anyone know if "capitonnage" is indeed the correct, commonly used term?
Thanks in advance!
