In the rabbit embryo-fetal developmental study, doses 0.5 mg/kg were maternally toxic as evidenced by a dose dependent reduction of bodyweight gain and food consumption while abortions and deaths were noted at the highest dose level of 2.5 mg/kg.
Doses 0.5 mg/kg were also toxic to the embryos, causing increased embryonic loss, late intrauterine deaths, reduced litter weight and minor variations in skeletal development generally associated with reduced fetal body weights and delayed development.
