Donald Jacobson Sep 23, 2014: i think you are both right. At least in the states it would have to be "Endowment" or "Foundation." Then for Hochschule either college or university, depending upon its size and course offerings.
gangels (X) Sep 23, 2014: I'd go with Endowment Academy like in 'Endowment Trust"
philgoddard Sep 23, 2014: I'm torn between "endowed university", meaning that it's financed from its own endowment fund, made up largely of donations, and "foundation university", which is how it's often translated.
