What is a handicap boost ?
We recognise that the stars of the European Tour are better golfers than scratch handicap, so to level the playing field an additional handicap boost is applied to challenge matches based on the difficulty and conditions of the course staging The European Tour that week. The handicap boost for each week can be seen in the Your Race To Dubai section of the Golf GameBook app.
When The European Tour is being staged at a course where typical scores are around 67, you will receive a high boost such as 5 shots. In difficult course conditions **where the pros struggle to break par**, you might on the other hand receive only 1 boost shot.
