Discussion

Marga Shaw Feb 20, 2019:
@ David Thank youfor the context David. "Hier" was also my guess (please see my discussion entry "@ Renee" below).
David Rumsey (asker) Feb 20, 2019:
I was indeed concerned about the meaning of "ier". I do not see it elsewhere, but TUR-B shows up further context in the document. I think perhaps it is a typo for "hier":

Z. n. TUR-8 und Mitomycin-C-Fruhinstillation (hier Nachweis eines multilokulären Urothelkarzinoms der Harnblase pTa high grade G3).
Lirka Feb 20, 2019:
and St.p. = S/P since I've seen so many wrong interpretations...
Marga Shaw Feb 20, 2019:
@ Renee The use as an adjective does not make grammatical sense to me as a native German speaker. Perhaps the asker could provide us with a bit more context please. Looking once more at what we have got, the "ier" could also be a typo for "hier". In this case this sentence would read "Z.n. iatrogener Blasenperforation bei initialer TUR-B, hier Nachweis eines pTa,G2 Urothelkarzinoms der Harnblase". Again, this is a guess
Renee Kulkarni MD Feb 20, 2019:
To me it simply seemed as though the noun TUR-B was used as an adjective!
Marga Shaw Feb 20, 2019:
TUR-B/TURB ier It is clear that TUR-B/TURB is transurethral resection of the bladder. However it is not clear what "ier" stands for. This has not been addressed and was part of the question. Could it perhaps stand for "initial elektrisch reseziert"? However, this is only a guess. Has somebody a better idea?
