[материал], подготовленный к разрушению to be fractured/to fracture Explanation: Мне кажется, тут в русском не смогли подобрать модальность. Если это "материал, которому предстоит разрушиться", то, возможно, просто in the [part/volume/etc.] of material to fracture/to be fractured... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 27 mins (2004-05-17 19:44:46 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Тогда, может, \"the material to be fractured due to [the period of] ...\" Все равно исходная фраза довольно странно звучит, на мой взгляд. И выглядит на мой слух. ;) |

[материал], подготовленный к разрушению on the point of failure Explanation: The maximum stress in an imperfect column is a combination of direct and bending stresses, and the column is assumed to be on the point of failure when this maximum stress reaches the strength of the material. Components made of fiber-reinforced plastics will one day be able to issue warnings when they are on the point of failure. www.mech.uwa.edu.au/DANotes/buckling/ columns/columns.html Reference: http://www.fraunhofer.de/english/press/pi/pi2003/06/rn_t7.pd... |
