The whole text is taken from a short story "不意の唖" by Oe Kenzaburo.
そして剛毛がいちめんに生え筋肉が石のようにかたくもりあがっている数人の大人の体が萎縮したセクスをあらわにして通訳をかこんだ。
Before this sentence appears, the story talks about some village men lying in ambush for a man called the interpreter. I understand this sentence means that several men appeared and surrounded this interpreter. However, I have difficulty understanding what is 大人の体が萎縮したセクス. What does it refer to? Does it mean the shrunken "sex"?? of the men?
Would appreciate some help. Thanks!

I would guess that portion of the sentence has something to do with the guy doesn't want the sex and is cringing to avoid it.

I think the subject "体が" connects with the verb 囲んだ, not with萎縮した. Also, I think あらわにしてshould be あらわにした. I think this sentence describe a scene in which the interpreter, surrounded by muscular men, feels scared and stands there, exposing his genitals, which shrunk because of the fears. It's hard to imagine the other way around.

According to my Sansaido Kokugo Jiten, セックス can mean 性器. So just a guess....

I think the subject here is "体", the verb is "かこんだ", and "数人の大人の" modifies the "体". And "萎縮したセクスをあらわにして”is and adjective phrase that modifies "体”so, it modifies bodies with a preposition "with". Although, I am not so sure if this is an adjective phrase or an adverbial phrase."萎縮したセクスをあらわにして”can be considered as adverbial pharase for the verb "かこんだ”. It would be more natural and easy to understand to think as "大人の体が〜かこんだ”.
