English term or phrase: direct tabletting

Can anybody confirm this expression from experience (not based on google), or would one say *direct compression tabletting*? One of the pioneers in the development of direct tabletting is a fellow called Shangraw (1989). The method is used in preparation of pharmaceutical formulations. For all those speaking German, it's *Direkttablettierung*.

I have come accross this once in a European pharma patent application, and several times in US applications. It may be a phrase more often used in the US than in EU

Just direct tabletting is fine. I have seen this used most often.

Explanation:
Tablet: To form into a tablet. As a noun it means a small flat pellet of medication to be taken orally. Tablets are made by the tablet press in its pressing heads. Whether "direct" is needed depends on the production technology of the medicine. Without other context, "direct" seems to be superabundant to me.
