French to English Marketing Advertising / Public Relations

The context is an advertising strategy that has lead to:
'une progression de 15 % des ventes, une multiplication des **référencements** et la constitution d’une base de données clientes'
The only words I can find for this are 'listings' and I'm not sure what this would mean here, or 'purchase', but if sales have increased by 15%, i can't then say that purhcases have increased in number as well surely, as sales and purchases are the same thing - aren't they? Can anyone help?
