Czech term or phrase: kontrolor letáků
Pokud jde o denní režim, vstávám každý den v 7:30 hodin, jdu pro noviny (dvacetiminutová procházka), jedenkrát týdně dělám kontrolora cenových a reklamních letáků supermarketu L... (pěšky 4-5 km chůze, za každého počasí).

Leaflet inspector? I'm slightly puzzled by this term, and suspect that what he really does (walking around in all weathers) is hand out the leaflets.

Should I take the word kontrolor quite literally in the sense of "inspector", or do you think the word is used a bit vaguely?

organizing delivery of leaflets
Explanation:
I think he is just delivering the leaflets. He wanted to make sure it sounds better by putting "kontolor letaku". These leaflets are printed once a week with special offers and prices. He is just simply delivering them.

What he is doing - probably direct letterbox leaflets deliveries or letterbox leaflets distribution. If he was handing them out, he wouldn't be walking so much, he would be just standing on the street. He could also deliver flyers to cafes, music stores, libraries and other premises. But I think he is just doing letterbox delivery.

Thank you. Of all the possibilities, this makes the most sense to me in the context.

disagree  Ivana Balcarová: I dont think it is meant ironically. Why would he walk 5 km in all weather when he has the flyers in his mailbox? Of course we dont have the whole context, so we dont know if it is a serious text or not.

once a week my job is to check if people received their L. flyers

Explanation:
I was once asked by a man who worked for a supermarket chain if we got their newest flyer and if we get them regularly. I met him in front of our house as I was coming home, he didnt knock on our door or anything. It might be what your guy does - going from house to house checking the mailboxes. Just guessing :-)

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thank you. Delivering them to specific places, or just handing them out to people who pass by?
