Dutch term or phrase: 'Draagkracht'
'Want de draagkracht van licht is groter dan die van de duisternis.'
Problem: the Dutch word might not even be the perfect word, as is so typical of spiritual texts. 'Bearing power', 'capacity', 'strength', 'supporting power' seem too prosaic to me or inadequate.
It is a text about night walks (from night to dawn) and about 'letting go of' fears and 'our own darkness'...

uplifting power
Explanation:
Try that... It should work. As by to uplift I understand to raise or lift the spiritual / intelectual

I suggest "intensity" i.s.o density. Interaction for interplay. Our innermost for inmost. To let go i.s.o to let them go.

power

Explanation:
In a spiritual text I think plain old 'power' would be the right way to go.

John Dewey: "Light also reveals knowledge, which knowledge is light, which light protects from darkness because darkness has no power to penetrate light as light has power to penetrate darkness."

An alternative way to go might be 'solace'

agree  Ken Cox: Based on the additional context, 'power' is a good solution IMO. The idea here seems to be that the light gives you more courage, but this is being 'inverted' by assigning metaphysical properties to light.

agree  Tina Vonhof: power by itself is powerful enough.
