Can anyone please suggest how to translate the word "Routine" in Japanese.

毎日の習慣 or ルーティン

Target audience is Japanese community residing in Australia

Starting school is a much anticipated next step on your child's educational journey. It can be exciting and stressful at the same time.
Strategies you could use to ease your child's possible anxieties are encourage your child to ask questions and think about what might be the same and what might be different. Talk about their new routines,what it will be like,who they will interact with,and how they will be supported throughout their transition.

ルーチン、ルーティーン、決まりきった仕事、日課、いつもの手順

カタカナでルーティーンと表記、発音するのが私には自然なのですが、日本語ではルーチンと表記されていることが多いです。対訳としては「決まりきった仕事」、「日課」、「いつもの手順」などと訳されます。Dailyがついてなくても文章の脈絡から「日課」とされる文章も以前目にしたことがあります。多少言い回し等異なるかもしれませんが、こんな風に訳してみました。

原文：
Starting school is a much anticipated next step on your child's educational journey. It can be exciting and stressful at the same time.
Strategies you could use to ease your child's possible anxieties are encourage your child to ask questions and think about what might be the same and what might be different. Talk about their new routines,what it will be like,who they will interact with,and how they will be supported throughout their transition.

和訳：
就学が始まるということは、あなたのお子さんの教育課程でずっと待ち焦がれていた次のステップとなります。
お子さんが感じるであろう不安を和らげるための作戦として、いろいろな質問を投げかけ、どのようなことが同じなのか、あるいは異なるのかを考えるように励ましてあげることです。（子供たちの）新たな日課や、（学校生活が）どのようなものになるのか、誰とかかわりあうことになるのか、そして自ら過渡期を通じて彼らがどのようなサポートを受けられるのかを話し合いましょう。

I chose 日課 in this context and the translation will be used either by voice over or subtitles for the video. Video is very short, fast and if other words, like 生活習慣、学校生活 will be too long and won't fit there. Sorry maybe I forgot to mention it is a caption for a video. Explanation:
New routines = waking up, dressing in uniform, going to school, doing homework etc.

I think ルーティーン is probably best because it is for small children. Other options could be 日課 or 日常生活. I think 毎日の習慣 sounds a little strange for "everyday routine".

日本語のカタカナで「ルーティーン」というと、仕事の手順を意味する場合が多いと思います。
ただ、この文章では、これから学校へ進学する子供の new routine なので、子供にとっての新しい仕事、つまり学校へ行って授業を受けたり給食を食べたりする日課のことを意味すると思います。
従って、「生活習慣」「学校生活」と訳すのが自然だと思います。
