The Access Point product line is a unique family of Internet access platforms that enable network providers to deliver managed IP QoS to their business class customers. Access Point systems offer full-featured IP routing, powerful bandwidth management and traffic shaping, secure virtual private networks, and easy management in a single purpose-built platform. • Access Point 300 family of IP routers consisting of a series of fixed configuration systems, designed for the small- to medium-sized branch offices. These fixed configurations provide support for Serial, T1/E1 and ISDN WAN interfaces
• Access Point 450 family consisting of the AP 450 LS and AP 450 HS IP Services routers in custom, built-to-order configurations. The LS and HS models are differentiated by the WAN interface modules, protocols, performance and application fit. Both models can easily be deployed in mid-sized regional and branch office environments. The AP 450 LS supports Serial, T1/E1 and ISDN WAN interfaces. The AP 450 HS extends the interface support of the LS to also include HSSI, Frame-based DS3 and ATM DS3/OC3 interfaces
• Access Point 1000 IP Services router consisting of a high-performance, modular, built-to-order system, ideally suited for both customer premises and network edge (POP- Point of presence) applications. The AP 1000 extends the interface and protocol support of the AP 450 family to also include Gigabit Ethernet and Packet Over Sonet interfaces.The Access Point system implements a layered architecture that supports a variety of physical layer connection schemes and data links
