I know it is also called a rotunda. Basically it is kind of a rounded intersection and real hard to get out of once you are in (for those of us who have driven in France and Italy :) )

DAMN! YEAH; JUST FOUND ROUNDABOUT IN IN.GR EXACTLY AS I HAD DESCRIBED IT IN ENGLISH: CIRCULAR (ROUNDED) INTERSECTION.
