Explanation: Ooo-er missus: おや、まあ!or あら、まあ!Also spelled “oo-er, missus”, and many of the examples on the Net have an exclamation mark at the end. I thought oo and er usually meant えー and あのう, but with “missus” and the exclamation mark after these, it seems to mean something like My goodness! or Oh, baby! It must be a British slang expression. Chloe: a character she created or played? Carry On films: a series of British comedy films. Please see the site below. Here is my sample translation; 「キャリーオン」シリーズの映画で「おや、まあ!」 http://wuk1.ciao.com/opinion_view.php/OpinionId/5273483/Sort... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2003-01-01 18:09:32 (GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Thank you for clarifying certain words, jackamano-san. I knew there was a line called Chloe, but I didn¥'t see the connection earlier. Anyway, here is my second sample translation; (・・・女らしさを正直に表¥現し続けた if you are talking about a long period of time) Reference: http://www.carryonline.com/ Reference: http://www.comics-international.com/QandA/qa60.html |
