When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

self-levelling screed/anhydride screed/liquid screed

Looks like "Fliessestrich" is a typical example of German pickiness *g*

I found all of the above terms, though none of them seems to be widely used. Mostly it was just screed.

Found "flow screed" as well, but only in translations of German websites.
Peer comment(s):

A bit of background info:

Fließestrich
Themengruppe: Altbau renovieren

With energy savings of some 30 per cent compared to conventional radiator systems, Isowarm provides important economic and environmental incentives for specifiers and clients. And unlike conventional radiators it requires no maintenance and takes up no floor space. Isowarm is unique in the fact that it is the only underfloor heating system designed for use with a liquid screed, Isocrete's Gyvlon anhydrite screed, which can be installed in floor zones as shallow as 75 mm including installation, making it ideal for both new and refurbishment installation. Another bonus is the total quality "one stop shop" concept of the Isowarm system, with a network of highly-trained Isocrete Isowarm licensees responsible for the entire installation process. These contractors are already used to working to Isocrete's exacting standards and will have single source responsibility for the entire installation process of the Isowarm system.
