One of the trades in which this company claims their locking systems is important is that of "Ladenbauer". I know it is "shopfitter" or "storefitter" but I need US English this time.

store contractor
Not quite sure this is an official term. Typically, I would assume the term "contractor" alone would be sufficient. But since you want it to refer to stores, I'd add store contractor. I did find several google hits for it...
"Laden" is typically referred to as "store" - we used to sell lighting to the "store fixture market"....

hmm, well wouldn't that be a Ladeneinrichter? I always thought that the "bauer" part refers to the actual builder / contractor....but in your case the fitter might work better.

Note from asker:
From the Google hits, a "store contractor" seems to undertake mainly building projects. A "storefitter" moves in when the building is complete and installs fittings like shelving and permanent display furniture, also in the store window (I get a lot of hits for "Ladenbau shopfitting"). |
