In an abstract of a patent for a coating device:
"Unterhalb des Bewegungsweges der Leiterplatten oder Multilayer befindet sich ein Strömungs-Leitkasten, der durch Trennwaende in mehrere Kammern unterteilt ist."
It seems to be a widget for guiding the flow of the electrolyte, but does anyone have a better phrase for it than "flow guide box"?

However, Corenelsen gives Strömungslenk wand = baffle , and it could well be that a baffle box is used here to prevent the fluid from developing excessively large waves. In this case, 'divided into several compartments' is tautological (since that's what a baffle box is), but that's common in patent applications.
Otherwise, you could just decide that it's a made-up word and translate it straight.

Egged on by some entries in Ernst, I did a search on the Internet. Maybe "conductance box" is what you are looking for.
