Italian term

tensioned polyethylene

Italian to English Tech/Engineering Materials (Plastics, Ceramics, etc.) polyethylene
I'm translating an instructions manual for a wrapping machine of Italian manufacture. My source language is English, but I I also have the original Italian text. Unfortunately I don't speak Italian.
My question: Is the English term "tensioned polyethylene" correct? I guess the author meant "pre-stretched polyethylene".
Please compare:
La macchina è stata progettata per confezionare
bicchieri di plastica con nastro monopiega in polietilene
a foglia tesa.
vs.
The machine has been designed to pack plastic
cups using reeled singlefold tensioned polyethylene.

Thanks in advance for your assistance

it would be better, you're right. my error :-)

Maybe you would be better placing this in IT>EN and asking for a translation of "polietilene a foglia tesa"!

I meant to say if it\'s pre-tensioned then it\'s pre-teso;

if it\'s pre-stretched, then it\'s prestirato
