Discussion

GaryG Oct 15, 2008:
The Scotts' Russian Just a note about the Scotts' peculiar translations. For years they wrote an article in Aviation Week describing the order of battle of the Soviet armed forces and always translated зенитные ракетные войска as "Zenith Rocket Troops" !

Selected

The Marshal Krylov Khar'kov Higher Command Engineer School of the Rocket Forces

I'd leave out "of the Soviet Union" in the rank. "Rocket Forces" refers to the Strategic Rocket Forces, the military branch to which graduates are destined. "Missile Forces" would be preferable but "Rocket Forces" became a standard US government translation decades ago and was adopted elsewhere
Peer comment(s):

agree Serhiy Tkachuk : or: Marshal Krylov Kharkov Higher Military Command and Engineering School of Rocket Forces

agree Vladimir Dubisskiy : i believe it's th best (and without adding 'military' - it's redundant)
