Swedish term

byggnadsyta

Swedish to English Bus/Financial Real Estate
Of course in the US this would be called "building square footage," or gross/net square footage.

But when stated in square meters, building square meterage doesn't sound too right.

Any suggestions for how to say it in words, with meters are the measurement?

Well, sometimes dictionaries fall behind :-) Check out this link (and many others) for footage/meterage:

Me´ter`age The act of measuring, or the cost of measuring.
Cristian Iscrulescu Mar 28, 2007:
What's so bad about 'meterage'? Try googling it together with 'footage' to see use in contexts.
