Swedish term or phrase: kicker
A teenager goes into a chat room and this is what someone is talking about in the chat room:

Är du kicker eller bara dum i huvudet? Vem fan vill prata som en svartskalle?

Need to translate this so that it is accessible to American teenagers...

Explanation:
Kickers verkar vara en något nedsättande (?) term för invandrargäng. Se den här inte helt PC diskussionen:

Någon direkt översättning kan jag inte komma på - gang member säger ju inget om medlemmens etniska bakgrund.

disagree  Kent Andersson: En kicker har, vad jag vet, ingen speciell etnisk tillhörighet, bara ett våldsamt beteendemönster.

tripping

Explanation:
It seems to me that you could use this way of approaching the translation: "Are you tripping or are you just plain dumb in the head? ..." or maybe: "Are you tripping or just braindead?..."

My Swedish to Norwegian dictonary says this: kick -en, -ar (sjarg.) spark, skubb; (narkotika)trip.

I might be wrong, but to me this sounds like the underlying meaning here.

disagree  Kent Andersson: I think "kicker" is being used as a derogatory term here since most people don't consider the ones that beat up other people for fun to be to bright.

Explanation:
En kicker är en person som (regulbundet) misshandlar andra människor. (Jag kände en person som var kicker i sin ungdom.)
