Hi,
I would like to know how long it takes for a posted job to be notified via email to members?
I have noted several jobs that appeared as posted 1 to 5 hours before I received the email notification.
Is that normal?
Example: http://www.proz.com/job/55842
Posted: 7:49am
the mail was sent:

Just want to know how this works.
Thanks in advance,

Some jobs need to be vetted May 28, 2004

Hi Paula,
I will move this thread to the Jobs forum.

Hi Paula,
I will move this thread to the Jobs forum.

First of all - just to make sure everyone is aware of it - the time shown on the site is UTC/GMT; i.e. currently 2 hours behind German DST.

Also, quite a few jobs need to be vetted by jobs moderators before they become visible, and job notifications are sent. This is designed to prevent improper or fraudulent postings from appearing on the site, and to ensure that the required details are provided. Jobs posted by Platinum members, as well as by certain other posters (depending on their average BlueBoard rating) are exempt from this vetting process, and go "live" straight away.

I have noted several jobs that appeared as posted 1 to 5 hours before I received the email notification.

I vetted that job myself, at 07:51 UTC - you received the notification one minute later. No problem, as far as I can see...?

And now twice in a row jI 'he seen jobs closed moments after being created. Did the poster change his mind?

Well, in this specific case, there appears to have been some confusion regarding the language pair (more specifically: the direction), as the job was reposted in the opposite direction two minutes later.
