- Je to technika, která spočívá v tom, že je pozměněna funkce back a close na webové stránce. Tlačítko BACK potom nevrátí uživatele na předchozí stránku, nýbrž stále dokola otevírá aktuální stránku. Tlačítko CLOSE zavře aktuální stránku, ale spustí otevírání mnoha dalších. Mouse Trappig je tedy technika, která nutí uživatele zůstat na určité stránce tím, že mu ji nedovolí opustit.
