I have been working with as an interpreter for the past 20 years, a profession that I am very passionate about and that I practice with great commitment.

I started learning English, one of my main working languages, as a child at an international school, the American Overseas School of Rome, where I came into contact with people from many different countries, cultures and religions. By being exposed to diversity during the early years of my life, I developed an attitude which is common to many interpreters: an insatiable curiosity about the rest of the world and the ability to be an objective observer of its peoples and their cultures.

I am a qualified member of the Italian Association of Translators and Interpreters (AITI). Through its subsidiary, FIT, of which AITI is a founding member, it has more than 1000 members in Italy, and 80,000 more in 55 countries worldwide.

In 2016 I was elected to the Regional Board of AITI.

Over the years I have been exposed to many different topics, both in simultaneous and consecutive interpreting, specializing in the following:

In my profession I was fortunate enough to meet many fascinating people who have helped me grow both as a person and as a interpreter. Among others, I was particularly impressed by Sean Connery, for whom I interpreted at an art exhibition in Rome. I remember him particularly for his outspoken character and enigmatic personality.

The most touching meeting, however, was with Pope Francis, for whom I recently interpreted at a private audience. It was a very moving experience that I shall never forget.
