I'm a language enthusiast who started my LINGUISTIC journey since I got born :D; At the age of 3, my father used to play a word game of “Give me a word starting with /ᴂ/, /ʃ/, /ʤ/, /ʧ/, ...”. My mom also played an important role by making me memorize medicine names (acetaminophen, diphenhydramine, etc.) to amuse me while recovering from a simple cold.
I spent my teenage years in language institutes learning English, leading to my admission to an English Translation and Interpreting program. As a young English teacher and translator, I published technical and scientific texts in the Ministry of Oil journal, and my love of language drove me to earn a Master's degree in Linguistics. I became a qualified escort interpreter for my county's National Technical Team and worked as a trusted interpreter for Iran's Technical and Vocational Training Organization. Adapting to the pandemic, I shifted to remote simultaneous interpreting for online seminars and conferences. My experience led me to pursue a PhD in linguistic solutions for interpreting challenges.
Coffee fuels my passion for interpreting and finding the best equivalence for terms, phrases, idioms, and metaphors. At the end of the day, I get paid to make people "understand" each other. 😊 |
