Social media platform has to react, and they need to check whether the video really contains that kind of language – so they need a native speaker of the language in the video who could take a look and basically give their comments on inappropriate stuff there. We will most often need AI translation/transcription editing of various videos into English - basically the client sends us the scripts timestamped/coded and translated with AI (where possible) and we just need to do a direct checking of these scripts against the video itself and verify that the translations are ok and social language/slang/suburban culture references are ok. The client needs to know EXACTLY what those videos contain so that they can act upon it - so we need people that are comfortable working with this. Another challenge is that the turnaround for these are 6 to 24 hours, depending on the language - meaning we need people who could cover their own time zone, of course, but also (when needed) to be able to adjust to hours which are outside that zone, and sometimes even during the weekend. The person who checks the video and the language needs to be acquainted with the cultural nuances, political and social situation as well as deliver fair quality in terms of English language.
