This is the phrase:
Fut du pignon (=entretoise intégrée) : Sa fonction est de mettre en place axialement le pignon et supporte la liaison avec l’arbre

(In the texte, the word 'Fût' is sometimes written with the accent, sometimes without. I don't know which is right).
