"Intimacy" is the title of a poem by Nina Cassian translated in English as follows (part of it) :
The tea is boiling:
my golden zone,
my pure burning amber.
I can be alone,
I know how to be alone.
By tea-light
I write
I have to translate this poem into French, and have problem with "my golden zone". My EN>FR colleagues think that is not really good English, and that I should find the original romanian (which I do not speak).
Could someone find the original poem, so that I can ask a question in the Romanian>French section? Thanks a lot

Intimitate
Hi Stephanie,
you can find the original poem here: http://www.agonia.ro/index.php/poetry/137013/index.html
and "my golden zone" is "zona mea de aur", as you can see.
regards.

mea culpa, era "Inimitate", cum bine spune Felicia. Asa-i cand iti crezi ochilor si nu-i deschizi de tot, sorry.

inimitate
The title "Inimitate" (not "Intimitate"!!) is a word the poetess composed using "inimă" (heart) and "intimitate" (intimacy). I find "golden zone" as a hidden reference to the communist "golden era" that made her choose to remain in New York in the 80`s.
