Todo esto (o muy parecido) creo que está (o debe estar) indicado en otra parte del texto original. |

In the context of qualifying a borrower for a loan and creating a disclosure of all the possible costs (especially if it is a loan with a variable rate), the lender (in the U.S.) generally uses a generic rate (here the 4%), which may or may not be the rate that ends up being charged in any given month. Reference: I think your version is just fine Reference information: Si entiendo bien "llevar a cuotas" quiere decir aquí distribuir un monto global adeudado en cuotas a ser pagadas en el tiempo atendiendo a un porcentaje (no sé si de interés). Entonces, algo del tenor de "consumption debts are broken down/converted into installments (at a 4% rate)" parecería una versión bastante precisa. Saludos |
