re: I admitt 'demand' is not a fairly suitable expression for 'poptávka' perhaps 'inquiry' would match better, but I think it is no use dividing it. Call for tender is a sufficient translation for above phrase.

Anton re: "call for tender is a procedure that implies the adjudication in itself" - you are quite right. They are all basically the same thing (also nabídkové řízení), but if a difference is required then you could divide it as ITT/adjudication procedure. The 'demand' bit is a red herring :)

Anton - as I said, there are several different permutations, and I don't think they look kindly on putting several different separate entries! You can make your own choice, agree or disagree as you wish :)

´demand after´ means in Czech ´poptávka po´, and call for tender is a procedure that implies the adjudication in itself. There is no point to express 1 proposed czech phrase with 3 english phrases. Gerry, I think you should put just only one phrase, one choice, or not ?

demand and call for tender

A call for tender is a procedure in which a purchaser (adjudicator) makes potential suppliers (submitters) compete for a large-scale contract. At the end of the procedure - the adjudication - a single company takes the market. Normally, it is the one which offers the lowest price, and the firmest guarantees, based on the customer specification.
