Reference: Colloquial Amharic, p.207 (a passage about a businessman who loves learning)
ስለዚህም ዛሬ ማታ እንደልማዳቸው ልጆቻቸው ቴሌቪዥን በከፈቱበት ጊዜ እሳቸው ቶሎ ብለው ወደ ማንበቢያ ክፍላቸው ገብተው መጽሐፍ ወይም መጽሔት ማንበብ ጀመሩ ።
Oddly enough, there is no explanation given for this word ብለው. Please let me know what it means and under which word I should look it up in the dictionary.
