Aynal-MirHaaD, or Aynal-Hammam? Explanation: The first word 'MirHaD' is more classical and it must be understood all over the Arab world. The second word (Hammam) is quite common in many Arab countries. On a lighter note: you can ask: Wayn (where is ) it-Twalaat (toilet)? |

First answer is "right on;" here's a Gulf Arabic variant Explanation: Greetings / tahaiya tayyiba wa b3ad... The first poster is correct in his responses. FWIW, a local variant in eastern Saudi Arabia and other Arabian Gulf states uses a different preposition: "fain al-Hamaam?" also "fain al-tuwaaliit?" (heard mostly in the coastal cities in the "lower Gulf" region) |
