English term

a creative commons license

English to French Social Sciences International Org/Dev/Coop
"this text is available under a Creative Commons License"

Would this do the trick?
Ce texte est disponible sous un permis créateur de terrains communaux

I picked up this phrase from an online link and think it might be the French for this license...would that be correct?

une licence Creative Commons

this is a licence between full copyright and public domain. The artists/writers can share their works and yet keep rights upon them (they can't be used comercially, or be modified, etc). The idea comes from 'free' software.
Peer comment(s):

agree Tom Bishop : Seems to be more of an "Autorisation Publique" than a "licence" ;-))
