성형작약탄두(Shaped Charge Warhead): 몬로 효과(Monroe effect)와 화학에너지를 이용한 탄두이다. 전차・장갑차 등의 장갑차량을 파괴하기 위해 개발되었다. 제2차 세계대전 말 구소련 전차를 파괴하기 위해 독일이 개발한 판저파우스트가 처음 성형작약탄두를 사용하였고 제2차 세계대전 뒤 대전차유도탄에 적용되고 있다. 먼로효과란 작약 앞에 원뿔 모양의 덧입힘쇠(liner)를 설치하면 폭발에너지가 원뿔의 꼭지점에 집중되는 현상이다
