Pienso que si se tratara de las prácticas, sería claramente "according to the best practices" o "according to up-to-date practices"; interpreto el texto como lo mencioné: una clausula que obliga al prestador de servicio a que, al momento de la finalización del contrato, los equipos sujetos al mismo no sean tecnologicamente obsoletos, en cualquier sentido.

Algo como (por ejemplo), "El hecho que los sistemas hayan sido instalados con equipos bajo sistema operativo Windows XP no significa que los mismos deban permanecer con el mismo OS al momento de la finalización del servicio."

I think that “in line with the state-of-the-art” translates very neatly to “de acuerdo con las mejores prácticas.” If the attorney (presumibly) who drafted the contract wrote “state-of-the-art” but really only meant “accepted/acceptable,” then he or she could plausibly be accused of, at best, being careless or, at worst, being either disingenuous or incompetent.

We certainly agree re: phrases like “state-of-the-art technology”, which refer to the best available technology. However, I believe that the drafter here has expressed a different meaning, i.e. current or widespread practices in the field. However, I'm interested to hear other colleagues' opinions!

Suponiendo que "state of the arts" se refiere a los servicios mismos y no a los estándares acordados contractualmente (...the Services according to the contractually agreed standards...) sugiero "en línea con el nivel más avanzado"
