El pespunte “a pata”sigue la línea de la costura tomando como guía el exterior del prensatelas, y produce un pespunte
que está a unos 5 o 7 mm de la costura.

En cambio, el pespunte “al canto” toma como guía el interior del prensatelas y su pespunte queda a 1 o 2 mm de la costura.
