I'm Brazilian and studying translation with focus on German, Portuguese and Spanish at the University of Heidelberg in Germany. I grew up in Florianópolis, where I started to study German language and literature at the Federal University of Santa Catarina in 2003. During my study I decided to take part in a “Free Mover”-program of the University of Saarland, Germany, in September 2005. Hereby, I had the opportunity to visit the University as guest auditor, while I was living as an au-pair at a local family. Later I went back to Brazil working as a bookbinder. Impressed by the German culture and language, I decided to pursue a study in Germany. After I successfully accomplished the study preparation course in Osnabrück in Germany I became student of Romantic languages and literature at the University of Frankfurt. There I successfully completed courses in Italian and Spanish language and finally fulfilled the requirements for my translation studies at the University of Heidelberg.
Currently I’m searching for opportunities to gain work experience in translation. |
